We offer Educational and Job Training Programs that lead to Employment or College

The Perry ATTAIN Lab is a non-traditional adult educational facility that provides tuition-free, non-credit academic and vocational training opportunities to educationally and economically disadvantaged individuals and dislocated workers in a supportive environment. Funded by the State University of New York, University Center for Academic and Workforce Development, our mission is to improve the area's workforce by enhancing the academic preparedness, vocational skill competency levels, and work readiness skills of adult learners. The Perry ATTAIN Lab offers a full range of instructional programs and services in the following areas:

Employability Skills is an area in which we can provide assistance, from creating or modifying a resume to drafting a cover letter.  We also have many job search resources available.

We ascribe to the philosophy that educational preparedness goes beyond the classroom. We address many of the students' developmental needs by offering a wide variety of services and activities including academic advisement, advocacy, personal and career counseling and case management, job readiness, job search and placement assistance, and post placement follow-up for students and with employers. In addition to these services, which are available to the general student population, we offer unique programming and services to adults and youth whose families receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
